We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and resilient Support Worker to join our team in providing care for young people in a residential setting. You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports the emotional, social, and educational development of children and young people aged 8–18.

Whether you are seeking a stable full-time role or flexible part-time opportunities, we offer positions across children’s homes throughout the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver day-to-day care and support in line with individual care plans
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with young people, promoting self-esteem and independence
  • Assist with daily routines, including school preparation, meals, and bedtime
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to safeguard and promote welfare
  • Encourage participation in education, leisure, and life skills development
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation according to company policies and regulatory standards
  • Respond effectively to challenging behaviours, following behaviour management procedures
  • Participate in regular supervision, training, and team meetings
  • Work flexibly across early and late shifts, including weekends and holidays

Requirements:

  • Experience in a professional care setting within the UK
  • Proven ability to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to stay calm and consistent under pressure
  • Genuine passion for supporting young people and making a positive difference
  • Flexibility to work mixed shift patterns, including early mornings and late evenings
