We are opening a new two-bed therapeutic service for children and young people who need a higher level of support with routines, education and hobbies. You could play an important role in their journey, helping them build positive connections, develop confidence and achieve their goals.
You will be joining an amazing team in our newly refurbished, modern home, working alongside a dedicated therapist to provide tailored support and help young people reach their full potential. Together, you’ll help create positive outcomes, build meaningful relationships and give young people hope and confidence for the future.
Role Overview
As Deputy Manager, you will be central to the smooth, effective running of our service. Working closely with a highly experienced Manager, you’ll help shape and deliver strategies that ensure each child receives high-quality, personalised educational support. You’ll lead and inspire a team of committed professionals, offering guidance, mentorship, and strong leadership to uphold exceptional standards of care and learning.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Manager in overseeing all aspects of the Children’s Home, from program development to evaluation.
- Work closely with families, educational partners, and external agencies to create personalised learning plans.
- Monitor and refine interventions to secure positive outcomes for every child.
- Stay informed on current research, best practices, and developments in special education, embedding new insights into service delivery.
- Assist with budget management, resource planning, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Level 3 Children & Young People Workforce or Health & Social Care
- Experience supporting people with challenging behaviour, ideally children.
- Strong understanding of diverse learning needs, learning styles, and intervention approaches.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire a team, cultivating a supportive, high-performing environment.
- Knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to special education.
- Flexibility and confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
