We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Residential Childcare Worker to join a nurturing and structured children’s residential home in Eastergate. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a highly supportive and child-focused team delivering positive outcomes for young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the day-to-day care, routines and emotional wellbeing of young people aged 8–17
- Build positive, trusting relationships to help young people feel safe, secure and supported
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive decision-making
- Work closely with the wider team to deliver care plans and achieve developmental goals
- Engage in activities, outings and daily routines that promote fun, structure and stability
Shift Pattern:
- A mix of early and late shifts
- No sleep-ins required
- Full-time hours over a rolling rota
About You:
- Previous experience in a residential childcare or similar setting
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or working towards it) is highly desirable
- Strong communication, empathy and resilience
- A calm and consistent approach to behaviour that challenges
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
