The Role of Registered Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Manager to take on a leadership role in one of our children’s homes. This is a rewarding opportunity to manage the home’s day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with OFSTED standards while creating a nurturing and safe environment for young people to thrive.
Key Responsibilities as Registered Manager:
Oversee all operational aspects of the children’s home, ensuring high-quality care in line with regulatory requirements.
Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, embedding a culture of safety and accountability.
Recruit, supervise, and develop a skilled team of professionals, promoting a positive workplace environment.
Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the unique needs of each child.
Build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including families, local authorities, and OFSTED.
Manage budgets effectively, ensuring the home operates efficiently and achieves its performance targets.
What We’re Looking For:
To succeed in this role as Registered Manager, you’ll need:
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s residential care setting.
A deep understanding of OFSTED regulations, childcare legislation, and best practices.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
A full UK driving license.
What We Offer:
Competitive Salary: £43,000 - £47,000 base salary, with additional benefits and bonuses increasing potential earnings to £66,000 - £71,000 annually.
