The Role of Registered Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Manager to take on a leadership role in one of our children’s homes. This is a rewarding opportunity to manage the home’s day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with OFSTED standards while creating a nurturing and safe environment for young people to thrive.

Key Responsibilities as Registered Manager:

  • Oversee all operational aspects of the children’s home, ensuring high-quality care in line with regulatory requirements.

  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, embedding a culture of safety and accountability.

  • Recruit, supervise, and develop a skilled team of professionals, promoting a positive workplace environment.

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the unique needs of each child.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including families, local authorities, and OFSTED.

  • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring the home operates efficiently and achieves its performance targets.

What We’re Looking For:

To succeed in this role as Registered Manager, you’ll need:

  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s residential care setting.

  • A deep understanding of OFSTED regulations, childcare legislation, and best practices.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • A full UK driving license.
