Key Responsibilities as Deputy Manager in a Children’s Home:
Support the Registered Manager in overseeing the smooth day-to-day operations of the children’s home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Lead by example in delivering exceptional care and promoting a positive, child-centred environment within the children’s home.
Be instrumental in creating and implementing care plans tailored to each young person’s needs, ensuring they receive the best support possible.
Take responsibility for the development of staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure high standards within the children’s home.
Safeguard and promote the well-being of the children, ensuring the highest level of care and safety in the children’s home.
Gain valuable experience by stepping into the role of acting Registered Manager, giving you the chance to grow and enhance your leadership skills.
About You:
To succeed as a Deputy Manager, you will be eager to advance your career in the children’s home sector. You will need:
A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), with a commitment to working towards a Level 5 qualification.
Proven experience in a children’s home or similar residential childcare setting, with leadership potential.
A strong understanding of OFSTED regulations, safeguarding, and childcare legislation.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills to inspire and manage a team.
A passion for developing both your career and the young people in your care.
A full UK driving license.
