Children’s Support Worker – Full-Time & Flexible Opportunities Available
Are you compassionate, resilient, and dedicated to making a real difference in young people’s lives? We’re looking for enthusiastic Children’s Support Workers to join our team and support children and young people (aged 8–18) within a residential care setting.
You’ll play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the emotional, social, and educational development of every child in your care.
Whether you’re seeking a stable full-time position or prefer flexible hours to fit around existing commitments, we have a range of opportunities available across children’s homes in the local area.
Shift Pattern:
Mixed early and late shifts, including some weekends and bank holidays (rota-based)
Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day care and support in line with individual care plans

Build positive, trusting relationships with children and promote their independence and self-esteem

Support with daily routines including school prep, meals, and bedtime

Collaborate with colleagues, families, and professionals to safeguard children’s welfare
-
Encourage participation in education, hobbies, and life skill activities
-
Accurately maintain records and documentation to meet regulatory standards
-
Respond appropriately to challenging behaviours using approved techniques

Attend regular training, supervision, and team meetings
-
Work flexibly as part of a supportive and dynamic team
Requirements
-
Experience working in a professional care setting within the UK
-
Skilled in managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Calm, consistent, and solution-focused under pressure
-
A genuine passion for supporting and empowering young people
-
Willingness to work mixed shift patterns, including weekends
- A valid UK Driving Licence is preferred
- A valid UK right to work indefinitely without restrictions or sponsorship is essential
