Residential Support Worker – 2-Bed Children’s Home
We are seeking a compassionate and committed Residential Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties and learning disabilities. In this small, nurturing 2-bed home, you will play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment where children can feel secure and begin to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent care, emotional support, and guidance to children in a residential setting
- Support children with daily routines, behaviour management, and emotional regulation
- Manage challenging behaviours in a calm and composed manner
- Contribute to care planning, maintain accurate daily records, and assist with household duties
- Work collaboratively with the team to support each child’s development and well-being
Requirements:
- Experience as a Support Worker or in a similar residential or childcare setting is preferred
- Understanding of trauma-informed care, child development, and strategies for supporting children with learning disabilities
- Strong communication skills, emotional resilience, and patience
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential
