Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Children’s Home Team Leader to join our Ofsted-registered residential service in Herne Bay. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to take on a leadership role within a supportive and child-focused environment.

Working closely with the management team, you will play a key part in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care and positive childcare practices are maintained at all times. You will help create a safe, nurturing and empowering environment where young people are supported to build independence, develop life skills and prepare for adulthood.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, warm and supportive environment for all young people
  • Lead, mentor and support residential care staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care
  • Contribute to care planning, record keeping and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies and organisational standards
  • Promote positive outcomes and person-centred support for each child

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be resilient, enthusiastic and committed to improving the lives of children and young people. You will need to demonstrate:

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Residential Care (Ofsted requirement)
  • Experience working within an Ofsted-regulated children’s home
  • A strong commitment to delivering outstanding, child-centred care
  • A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
