Job Description

Are you a Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager within Children’s Residential Care, looking for a new challenge? We are seeking someone who wants to make a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people, with proven experience of management at a senior level in a residential setting.

As the Registered Manager of a Children’s Home, in learning disabilities, you will be responsible for ensuring a warm, nurturing, and therapeutic environment is delivered in line with our core values.

You will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, providing strong leadership to a dedicated and professional team. Your role will also include overseeing safeguarding, care planning, compliance, and driving continuous improvement. In addition, you will contribute to the strategic development of the home to ensure outstanding outcomes for children.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled leader to develop, grow, and inspire both your team and the children we care for.

About You

We’d love you to bring the following:

  • Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent).
  • Commitment to obtaining (if not already held) a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services.

Your Responsibilities
As Registered Manager, you will:

  • Lead with vision, compassion and integrity, ensuring children receive exceptional care tailored to their needs.
  • Be the voice and advocate for both your team and the young people.

  • Mentor and develop staff, including coaching, supervision and training (facilitating QCF Level 3).
  • Oversee operational management, including staffing, budgets, and service development.
  • Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and deliver evidence of high-quality care.
  • Champion independence and life skills for young people, placing safety and wellbeing at the centre of every decision.

Benefits

  • Alongside a competitive salary and top rates of pay, you’ll have access to a KPI bonus scheme, a pension plan, and additional benefits such as a salary sacrifice car scheme.
  • We also provide a death-in-service benefit worth three times your annual salary.
  • Your wellbeing matters, which is why you’ll have access to healthcare as well as employee assistance programmes that support mental health and overall wellbeing.
  • We are equally committed to your professional growth, offering ongoing training opportunities and support in achieving Level 5 and above qualifications, so you can continue to build a rewarding career with clear progression pathways.
  • Most importantly, this role gives you the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people, while maintaining a healthy work/life balance in a supportive and inspiring environment.
  • If you are passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people and have the drive to lead a successful home, we’d love to hear from you.
