Location: Near Barnham
Salary: £15.38 hourly rate.
Hours: 7am – 7pm on a 2-week rolling rota
Additional: Optional sleep-in shifts paid at an additional £70 per sleep-in

We are excited to be working with an established company who are opening new children’s home near Barnham. The home will provide a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for a young person in a solo placement.
This home has been specifically designed to support a young person with mental health and emotional wellbeing needs who requires a highly individualised placement where they can live safely on their own. The aim of the placement is to provide stability, consistency, and therapeutic support to help the young person progress toward moving into a more permanent home environment in the future.
The Role
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping the young person feel safe, valued, and supported each day. You will build positive relationships, provide emotional support, encourage independence, and help create a calm and structured home environment.

Responsibilities
- Supporting the young person with day-to-day routines and activities
- Promoting emotional wellbeing and positive mental health
- Building trusting and professional relationships
- Supporting education, appointments, and community engagement
- Encouraging life skills and independence
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
- Working closely with external professionals and the wider care team
- Helping create a safe, stable, and therapeutic home environment
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people in residential care, mental health, SEN, or similar settings
- A caring, calm, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain professional in challenging situations
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Full UK driving licence preferred
