​Registered Children's Manager required to oversee the care and support of children within our home near Hailsham.

The home provides a safe, therapeutic environment for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, mental health conditions, and complex trauma histories.

Their time at the home marks a crucial stage in their journey - a period where they require intensive, bespoke therapeutic care to support their recovery from trauma. Our goal is to offer a nurturing space where healing, stability, and personal growth can begin.

You will play a vital role in managing the team, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a nurturing environment for all residents.

About the Role:

As the Registered Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards.

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to staff, fostering a culture of positivity, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

  • Develop and implement individual care plans to meet the needs of each child or young person.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.

  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to deliver high-quality care.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with external agencies, families, and stakeholders.

  • Lead the home through Ofsted inspections, striving for a rating of "Good" or "Outstanding."

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management- Children and Young People Qualification, or the willingness to complete quickly

  • Significant experience working in a children’s residential care setting, including in a leadership role

  • A thorough understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding practices, and children’s home legislation

  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

  • A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people

  • The ability to inspire and motivate a team to deliver outstanding care
