We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and resilient Children’s Support Worker to join our team supporting young people in a residential setting. You will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the emotional, social, and educational development of children and young people aged between [Aged 8 –18].

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day care and support for children and young people in line with their individual care plans
- Build trusting, positive relationships with children, promoting their self-esteem and independence
- Support with daily routines including getting ready for school, meal preparation, and bedtime routines
- Work proactively with colleagues, external professionals, and families to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
- Encourage participation in education, leisure activities, and life skills development
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards
- Respond appropriately to challenging behaviour and incidents, following established policies and behaviour management techniques
- Participate in regular supervision, training, and team meetings
- Work flexibly to cover a mixture of early and late shifts, including weekends and holidays as part of a rota
Requirements:
- Experience working with a professional care setting within the UK
- Experience in managing and deescalating challenging behaviours
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and consistent under pressure
- A genuine passion for supporting young people and making a positive difference in their lives
- Must be able to work mixed shift patterns, including early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends
- A valid UK Driving Licence (required)
- A valid UK right to work indefinitely without restrictions or sponsorship (required)
