We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a brand-new children’s residential service. You will play a vital role in shaping the home from the ground up—establishing a nurturing, safe, and structured environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager for the home

  • Lead the set-up and commissioning of the new service, including recruitment, policies, and care planning

  • Ensure the home consistently meets or exceeds Ofsted standards

  • Develop and manage a committed staff team, fostering a positive and child-centred culture

  • Create individualised care plans and risk assessments in line with children's needs

  • Build strong relationships with professionals, families, and external agencies

  • Promote safeguarding, quality assurance, and continuous improvement throughout the home

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience managing or deputising in a children’s residential care setting

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

  • A deep understanding of Ofsted regulations and children’s residential care legislation

  • Passion for working with children and young people with complex needs

  • Proven ability to lead and inspire staff teams

  • Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills

  • Commitment to building a service that puts the young people at the heart of everything
