Job description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a brand-new children’s residential service. You will play a vital role in shaping the home from the ground up—establishing a nurturing, safe, and structured environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities
Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager for the home
Lead the set-up and commissioning of the new service, including recruitment, policies, and care planning
Ensure the home consistently meets or exceeds Ofsted standards
Develop and manage a committed staff team, fostering a positive and child-centred culture
Create individualised care plans and risk assessments in line with children's needs
Build strong relationships with professionals, families, and external agencies
Promote safeguarding, quality assurance, and continuous improvement throughout the home
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience managing or deputising in a children’s residential care setting
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
A deep understanding of Ofsted regulations and children’s residential care legislation
Passion for working with children and young people with complex needs
Proven ability to lead and inspire staff teams
Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills
Commitment to building a service that puts the young people at the heart of everything
