A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a compassionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join a therapeutic children’s home in Merthyr Tydfil. The home provides a safe, nurturing environment for young people with emotional needs, ADHD and autism spectrum conditions.

You’ll play a key role in guiding and supporting both the young people and your team, making a genuine difference every day.

What you’ll need:

• At least 12 months’ experience in a children’s residential care setting

• A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

• Knowledge or experience of child-centred, therapeutic approaches

• Great communication skills, with a calm and supportive manner

• A flexible, caring and resilient attitude

• A full UK driving licence

Your role will include:

• Leading and mentoring a team to provide high-quality, therapeutic care

• Supporting children through everyday routines and emotional challenges

• Building meaningful relationships based on trust and consistency

• Maintaining care plans and records to support positive outcomes

• Working closely with professionals to meet each child’s individual needs

Pay: £30,580.00-£32,000.00 per year
