Join Us as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Where Every Day is a New Opportunity to Make a Difference

At our school, no two days—or two children—are the same. We’re looking for exceptional HLTAs who can adapt, engage, and support young people with complex and sometimes challenging needs.

This is more than a support role. It’s about being a trusted adult, a creative thinker, a calming presence, and a constant learner. Our students thrive when the people around them are consistent, caring, adaptable, and resilient.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As an HLTA, you’ll take on a diverse ad rewarding role, including:

  • Supporting learning in the classroom alongside teachers
  • Leading small group sessions and providing tailored 1:1 interventions
  • Assisting with the design and delivery of engaging lessons and activities
  • Helping students navigate social situations – even if it’s just over lunch or a board game
  • Managing resources, organising trips, and creating vibrant displays
  • Helping to regulate behaviour, ensure safety, and provide emotional support
  • Joining therapy sessions, celebrating breakthroughs, and reflecting after tough days
  • Bringing your own interests to enhance both the curriculum and wider school life

We believe HLTAs should have a voice in how our school runs. Your input will help shape the student experience—both academically and beyond the classroom.

What We’re Looking For:

You’ll need to be:

  • Calm under pressure and quick to adapt
  • Emotionally intelligent, non-judgmental, and compassionate
  • Proactive, solution-focused, and ready to wear many hats in one day
  • Passionate about inclusion and positive outcomes for all children

Why Work With Us?

We believe that great support staff deserve great support. In return for your dedication, we offer:

  • A competitive salary
  • A staff laptop and mobile phone
  • Ongoing training and recognised qualifications
  • Small class sizes with additional TA support
  • Career progression within a growing national organisation
  • Enhanced occupational sick pay
  • Flexible pension scheme
  • Regular professional supervision and wellbeing support
  • Exclusive staff benefits

If you’re ready to be part of a team that truly values its staff and to work in a school where your voice matters and your work changes lives, we’d love to hear from you.
