What You’ll Be Doing:
As an HLTA, you’ll take on a diverse ad rewarding role, including:
- Supporting learning in the classroom alongside teachers
- Leading small group sessions and providing tailored 1:1 interventions
- Assisting with the design and delivery of engaging lessons and activities
- Helping students navigate social situations – even if it’s just over lunch or a board game
- Managing resources, organising trips, and creating vibrant displays
- Helping to regulate behaviour, ensure safety, and provide emotional support
- Joining therapy sessions, celebrating breakthroughs, and reflecting after tough days
- Bringing your own interests to enhance both the curriculum and wider school life
We believe HLTAs should have a voice in how our school runs. Your input will help shape the student experience—both academically and beyond the classroom.
