This role supports young people facing some of life’s toughest challenges — homelessness, unemployment, mental health issues, substance misuse, care experience, and time in prison.

We provide 24/7 residential support to inspire, educate, and motivate young people to build brighter futures. Our aim is to give every young person in our care the tools and confidence to discover their potential, make positive changes, and move forward into independent and fulfilling lives.

About the Role

As aYouth Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping young people overcome barriers and achieve their goals. You will work flexibly across a mixture of shifts — including days, evenings, and sleep-ins — to ensure consistent, reliable support for residents.

Your role will include:

  • Working one-to-one and in groups with young people to build confidence, independence, and life skills.

  • Providing informal advice, guidance, and emotional support in a non-judgmental and encouraging way.

  • Supporting with daily routines and practical tasks while being a positive role model.

  • Ensuring the smooth and safe running of the centre through incident reporting, safeguarding, and record keeping.

  • Carrying out domestic, housing management, and health & safety tasks as required.

  • Working proactively with colleagues to create a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people to make positive life changes.

  • A non-judgemental, flexible, and “can do” approach.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Reliability, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • Experience of working in a support, care, housing, or youth work setting (desirable but not essential).

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential).

  • Right to work in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship).
