​We are seeking a Residential Development Manager to lead the setup and launch of new children’s homes across the country. This pivotal role ensures homes open on schedule, meet regulatory standards, and deliver exceptional care from day one.

Registered Development Manager Role:

  • Collaborate with the Development Team to identify and plan new homes for growth.

  • Oversee home design, registration, and fit-out, ensuring all project milestones are met.

  • Lead the Ofsted registration process, ensuring full regulatory compliance.

  • Manage homes pre- and post-opening to guarantee smooth operations and outstanding care.

  • Recruit, train, and induct permanent Registered Managers and staff teams.

  • Mentor and lead new teams, embedding best practices in all areas of care.

  • Maintain the highest standards of care in line with the home’s Statement of Purpose and internal policies.

  • Contribute to policy and strategic development, shaping the future of children’s residential services.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Level 5 qualification in Residential Leadership.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s home with at least “Good” Ofsted reports.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People’s Services.

  • Experience setting up and opening new children’s homes.
