​A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and committed Registered Manager, supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring that high standards of care are consistently delivered and that the home operates in full compliance with current regulations and best practice guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the service as Registered Manager, ensuring the care and safeguarding of all children and young people in the home.

  • Manage, support, and develop a team of staff, ensuring effective supervision, training, and professional development.

  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies to promote positive outcomes for children and young people.

  • Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and health and safety legislation.

  • Liaise with external professionals including social workers, local authorities, and education providers.

  • Monitor the home’s budget, staffing rotas, recruitment, and performance.

  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide support for sleep-in cover as required.

Person Specification:

  • 5+ years’ experience

    in residential childcare

  • 2+ years’ leadership experience

    managing staff

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy in a residential setting for children and young people.

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed practice.

  • Effective leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Emotional resilience and a child-centred approach to care.

  • Proven track record of achieving

    “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings

  • Full UK driving licence
