​​​An exciting and rewarding Support Worker opportunity to join a fantastic care provider who Support young people with learning disabilities. Working under the centre management, your role will be to support the residents both socially and academically, both in and outside of the house. The young people have a range of learning disabilities and challenging behaviours so previous care experience is essential.

Support Worker Role: Your overall responsibility is to ensure all residents have equal opportunities to develop themselves and prepare for adult life. You will help to promote their rights and to be treated with dignity and respect. You will look to build stable relationships with the YPs and encourage them to form strong bonds with their families, friends and other staff members. Promoting self esteem. You will also protect them from harm in line with the clients safeguarding policy.

Support Worker Applicant Criteria: You will have previous professional care experience within a similar role, perhaps as a Support Worker or Care Assistant. A
personable and professional approach along with and a strong desire to benefit the wellbeing of young people are also essential.
